Your role

Imagine taking the controls of one of the Army's most sophisticated surveillance aircraft, but without leaving the ground.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) operate at the sharp end of Army operations, delivering battlefield intelligence to operators situated considerable distances from the action. As a Drone Operator you'll fly UAVs remotely, providing Army commanders with the vital information they need to direct troops safely through areas of danger.

No previous experience is necessary as you'll be fully trained in the theories of flight, meteorology and military techniques. However you will have to bring exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to the job. Plus, you'll need the mental and physical dexterity to multi-task under extreme pressure in temporary facilities in the field.

This exciting and rewarding role will take you across Australia and quite possibly the world. Better still, in the Army you’ll be working for a dynamic national organisation that offers a great lifestyle plus opportunities and experiences you simply won’t find anywhere else.

Sounds good? Then apply now (below).
