Document controller - 3 month rolling contract - Fareham

Shorterm Group are currently recruiting for an Aerospace client specialising in filtration systems. They're looking to recruit a document controller reporting into the Quality Manager.

The role will be to provide documentation checking while partnering with manufacturing teams and leaders. The role of the document controller will be to ensure documentation for customers is to the required standard meeting all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

The document controller is responsible for document accuracy, quality and integrity in accordance with the document checking procedures.
You will be supporting adherence to record retention policies, safeguarding information and retrieving data more effectively.
The document controller will also be responsible for ensuring the correct categorisation of documents, distribution and archiving obsolete records.
You will also perform document control by reviewing or editing documents prior to them being sent to the customer or archived in accordance with the document checking procedure.

*Responsible for the compilation and checking of data dossiers which details parts, materials and testing associated to each detail part and assembly.
*Liaise with customer and quality teams to ensure dossiers include all required information.
*Review documentation independently and work with suppliers to correct issues and queries with documentation.
*Capture all documentation issues
*Report inspections / accept/reject information directly to Quality control manager or Quality inspector.
*Communicate within the quality team to solve problems both technical and of an equipment nature.
*Attend quality meetings.
*File documents in the correct area ensuring all metadata is accurate; revise existing documents where a submission from the supplier is an update..
*Review and check all documents in accordance with the document checking procedure, changes to the document to be coordinated with the author
*Submission of deliverables to the customer
*Audit all documents prior to first formal release
*Filing

Qualifications required:

Understanding of material certifications
Understanding of Engineering Drawings
Understanding of basic report writing.
Experience working to ISO9001
Exposure to continuous improvement
