Cobalt is looking for a Development and Powerplant Engineer to join the CAMO team. The Development and Powerplant Engineer will report to the CAMO manager and will be based in Larnaca, Cyprus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)
Create processes to help maintain the Powerplants to a high standard of reliability.
Develop and maintain a Powerplant health monitoring program.
Coordinate the process for repair of engines on-wing and at the shop.
Assist with the definition of work scopes and builds of engines/APUs while in the shop.
Review and/or ensure review of Airworthiness Directives and/or other regulatory or company documents to ensure compliance to all requirements.
Evaluate the incorporation of modifications and repairs and assist in the development of the appropriate engineering documentation.
Review and/or ensure review of documents provided to Engineering via the source document system to improve reliability and maintain compliance (Example: Service Bulletins).
Coordinate with the OEM to determine areas of improvements for the Powerplants.
Introduce/evaluate procedural changes where reliability could be gained associated with Powerplants.
Coordinate with other teams within the company, such as Line and Heavy Maintenance, Quality and Planning to accomplish modifications/repairs on the COBALT fleet.
Provide Support for Line Aircraft, Aircraft Induction, Maintenance Checks, Materials and other departments, as needed.
Assist in the financial analysis and project planning for incorporation.
Coordinate with engineering organizations outside of COBALT in the preparation and oversight of engineering projects relating to modifications and repair of Powerplants.
Manage team projects and provide guidance to help meet timelines for project execution.
CORE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:
At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering department at a commercial airline or MRO as a Development & Powerplant Engineer is a must.
Engineering Degree will be considered an advantage.
Full understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to EASA Part 145 and Part M.
High level of motivation and excellent work ethic.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
Excellent attention to details.
Have a can-do problem-solving attitude.
Be comfortable with initiating reviews and working with a minimum level of supervision.
Be able to build strong relationships across multi discipline and ideally have a strong working knowledge of the Engineering IT system.
