DEPUTY HEAD OF COMPLIANCE & SAFETY - Permanent - Hampshire - Competitive Salary
Our Aviation client is currently recruiting for a Deputy Head of Compliance and Safety who will assisting in the development and implementation of all activities related to the Compliance Monitoring Function and the Safety Management System focusing on the airworthiness side of Compliance & Safety. Conducting Part M & Part 145 audits of 3rd party suppliers.
The position will involve travel within Europe twice a month for (1-3 days each trip) with intercontinental travel occasionally during the year.
* Assist in the management of the annual audit programme * Carryout audits and inspections * Manage and control documentation in relation to the above * Verify effectiveness of the compliance monitoring function * Identify risks through trend analysis of Compliance & Safety data * Work in conjunction with the Safety Department, undertake risk assessments and safety cases * Review compliance monitoring audit techniques and activities to ensure best practice * Ensure compliance is being monitored and achieved at departmental level. * Ensure effective management of regulatory and legislative changes that effect the organisation * Assist with the review and amendment of compliance documentation * Ensure and conduct appropriate training for compliance monitoring department personnel * Assist in the management and supervision of Compliance and Safety software development and implementation. * Ensure all documentation reflects current practice and complies with Regulatory requirements. * Attend subject matter conferences to maintain good knowledge of current compliance and safety practices * Assist in the development of the ERP. * Manage and attend Compliance and Safety meetings * Assist in facilitation of 3rd party audits * Liaise with Regulatory Authorities
You will be working with the companies UK Management and department personnel. The UK CAA and international Regulatory Authorities.
Qualifications Required: * 'A' Level * University Level * Aircraft Engineer Licence or min 5 years' experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management * Compliance & Safety Training * Qualified Auditor
* Sound knowledge of commercial aviation industry * Demonstrable knowledge of EASA Regulations * Knowledge of Compliance Monitoring * Experience/knowledge of Safety Management System
