Database Administrator - 1078172
As a DBA (Database Administrator) for KBRWyle, you will be enabling personnel to accomplish the mission of supporting systems for the Warfighter that enable our national security and defense strategies. You will use your well-developed knowledge of SQL Server 2012 or higher and Oracle database 12c to effectively run scripts, create, modify, optimize, backup, recover, and monitor databases, coordinating with developers as needed. You will ensure optimal up-time by applying well-planned upgrades and patching to SQL Server, Oracle and UNIX environments, following DoD guidelines. You will write a variety of scripts, batch processes, unattended installations, SQL\Oracle queries, etc. Your dedication to customer service and hard work will result in an operational environment that meets the customer’s needs and ultimately, delivery of services that enable personnel to accomplish the mission at hand.
Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience; Associates Degree with 9 years of experience OR 11 years of experience in lieu of degree. Must have strong working experience with SQL Server database administration and familiarity with Oracle and UNIX operating system maintenance, to include patching, applying STIGs, and managing permissions. The candidate must have outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and respond quickly to provide options and action plans to solve the problem. Must have experience with backup and recovery of databases, monitoring and performance tuning. Should be familiar with RMAN, Apache, WebLogic, Oracle Portal and OID, DataGuard management and implementation, GRID control monitoring and setup. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must be willing and able to maintain technical knowledge and skills. Must be customer service oriented and have a strong work ethic. Must be able to meet DOD 8570 requirements for DBA. Experience with SSIS packages are a plus.
