My successful client in West Sussex undertakes asset management services within the aviation industry. 

They are now seeking a Data Analyst who can turn their hand to a multitude of tasks to support their expanding business in an administrative/analytical capacity!

Previous experience within aviation is not essential, but experience in database administration, accuracy in data inputting (alphanumerical), previous experience in a finance/invoicing/asset management role plus a desire to ‘Get it right first time’ would be ideal.

Training will be provided in the industry terminology and use of the asset management software.

As a Data Analyst, this is a rare opportunity to assist the team in the administration of the Company’s portfolio of managed aircraft.

 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Updating of monthly/quarterly/annual aircraft utilisation and alerting Portfolio Manager of any irregularities/maintenance events
  • Liaison with external stakeholders to resolve reporting irregularities
  • Production and issuing of invoices
  • Setting up of new aircraft in both company systems and with external parties
  • Archiving of aircraft which leave the portfolio
  • Updating and monitoring of Asset Management ‘to do’ items and monitoring of worldwide public holidays
  • Updating of spreadsheet for Asset Management Quarterly Review meetings, and presentation of data at the meetings
  • Becoming an expert in the use of Leasepoint asset management software and assist in developing the company’s use of the software to its full functionality. Training can be provided.
  • Identification of software irregularities/issues and suggesting potential improvements
  • Testing of software fixes/enhancements
  • Liaison with the supplier of Leasepoint with any technical queries
  • Support the development and management of aircraft maintenance cost databases in MS Excel
  • Support the development and use of aircraft utilisation and maintenance forecasting models in MS Excel
  • Production of aircraft inspection reports
  • Support for Portfolio Manager, Technical Manager and Director Asset Management as required.
 

Ideal candidate profile:
  • A graduate in a Maths/Finance, Science, IT, or Technical discipline or time-served experience in a similar role
  • Asset management / invoicing / revenue management / accounting experience would be very beneficial
  • A competent user of databases with a real interest in understanding how to get the best from your available software
  • An advanced MS Excel user, confident in creating spreadsheets, formulae, etc.
  • Competency in exporting data for use in forecasting & modelling would be very beneficial
  • Excellent accuracy in data entry, proof reading and written use of the English language
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated; capable of working independently and learning from any previous mistakes
  • An organised multi-tasker with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly in order to meet commercial deadlines under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Aviation background beneficial but not essential
 

 

Additional information:

  • Permanent Mon-Fri role, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible working hours)
  • Salary £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • Please note – candidates should be happy to undertake skills testing for this role (including MS Excel, Maths and English competencies)
