Job Title

Permanent role as Continuing Airworthiness Support Engineer.

Role

Supporting the HHA Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Mil CAM) in ensuring the Continuing Airworthiness management of HHA’s military registered Air Systems. 

Specific Tasks

Assist in:

  • The development and control of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMP).

  • The planning and co-ordination of all preventative Maintenance activity and ensuring that such maintenance activity is adequate for maintaining the airworthiness of the Organization’s Air Systems.

  • Ensuring that Faults reported or discovered during scheduled Maintenance are correctly managed.

  • The management of the embodiment of Modifications and repairs

  • The preparation of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness including Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization Instructions.

  • The management of all Continuing Airworthiness records and the Air System’s Technical Log.

  • Assuring that the weight and moment statement reflects the current status of the Air System.

  • The initiation and coordination any necessary actions and follow-up activity highlighted by an Occurrence report.

  • Coordinating Military Airworthiness Reviews (Mil AR) and Mil AR Reports

  • Developing and maintaining the Air System Document Set (ADS) for each Air System Type

  • The Configuration Management of each Air System Type

  • The Integrity Management (Structural – System - Propulsion), including Ageing Aircraft Audits and the development and maintenance of the Statement of Operating Intent (SOI) / Statement of Operating Intent and Usage (SOIU) for each Air System Type

  • Air Safety Management including the management of individual Air System Safety Case(s) and Platform Risk Registers.

The above is not an exhaustive list and you may be expected to perform additional duties that fall within your skill and competence.

Essential Experience

Had five years relevant work experience of which at least two should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.

Essential Technical Competencies

A comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Quality Systems

  • Applicable regulations, specifically the following MAA Regulatory Articles:

  1. 4000 Series: Continuing Airworthiness Engineering Regulations (CAE).

  2. 5000 Series: Type Airworthiness Engineering Regulations (TAE)

  3. 1200 Series: Air Safety Management.

  4. 1400 Series: flight safety, occurrence reporting, post-crash management 

Note: if the candidate has strong knowledge of equivalent EASA vs MAA regulations, this would be taken into account.

Desirable Technical Competencies

A knowledge of:

  • Bowtie (Barrier based Risk Management)

  • Goal Structuring Notation (GSN)

Essential Non-Technical Competencies

  • Excellent communication and literacy skills

  • Ability to use information systems

  • Ability to work collaboratively
