Source Controlled Components (including machined parts, hydraulic components, sensors, electronics, and motors – only qualified source and/or includes supplier Intellectual Property) / Major Sub-Contracts.
Location: Irvine, CA
Control Systems Division (CSD) is seeking an experienced Source Controlled Components Commodity Manager to develop and implement Sourcing strategies, tools and processes leading to improved total acquisition, cost, supplier delivery and quality as well as supplier rationalization.
•Responsible for leading and managing a segment of the Division’s Source Controlled Components Spend of $190+ Million Dollars.
•Responsible for establishing Division-level sourcing strategies, segmenting into part families and leveraging spend, right sizing the supply base, executing Long Term Agreements aimed at improving cost, delivery, quality performance and profitability for the division across three manufacturing sites and various Commercial and Military Customers.
•Lead a multi-site cross functional team developing and implementing projects geared towards Supplier performance improvement, continuity of supply, and overall supplier cost reductions associated with the Divisions’ Source Controlled Component spend.
•Support the Division’s Global Sourcing efforts in India, China, Mexico and other low-cost regions. Support Supplier Development activities through championing execution of work transfers both domestically and internationally.
•Support and align with Aerospace Group led initiatives in leveraged strategies, negotiations and Supplier consolidation process improvement opportunities.
•Some travel, both domestic and international may be required (up to 20%)
•Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or other related field required and eight or more years of progressive experience.
•Must be familiar with and have working knowledge of the complete range of strategic sourcing activities including spend analysis, strategy formulation, contract negotiations, low cost country sourcing, strategic supplier relationship management, supplier quality, and supplier development.
•Commodity/Category Management, Major Subcontract Management, Procurement and Negotiations (Price and Terms & Conditions) experience with a proven track record of quality, cost, delivery improvements within area of responsibility. Must be flexible to respond to changing priorities within a dynamic work environment
•MBA, CPSM/CPM certification, APICS certification is a plus
