We are a rapidly growing aerospace company involved in manufacturing bonded structural aircraft components for the commercial, military and general aviation industry. About the Opportunity
Operates CNC equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. Equipment may include mixers, grinders, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines.
Major duties of a CNC Machinist include:
Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as 3, 4 or 5 axis milling machines, flatbed routers, waterjet, laser, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions
Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup
Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining
Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product
Follows and adheres to organizational and OSHA safety policies and procedures
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
High school diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of related experience
