Chief Engineer, Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1.3 or B2, Falkland Islands
British International Helicopters (Offshore) are currently looking to recruit an experienced aircraft B1.3 or B2 licensed engineer for the post of Chief Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our existing team of professionals based in the Falkland Islands.
The successful engineer will be a motivated professional with high individual standards.
The successful candidate will provide:
Oversight/compliance of the Falklands Pt145, to include ensuring a safe working environment.
Planning of aircraft maintenance.
A focal point for engineering matters.
A point of contact for personnel issues.
Liaison between AW189 & S61 engineering.
Liaison with aircraft operations.
Line & Base maintenance of S61/AW189 engineering.
Reporting to the Engineering Director the ability to work with minimal supervision, to take responsibility for your own work and to direct the engineering department is essential. You should be capable of organising your own workload within those limits set by the Engineering Director.
You must also be an effective team player, capable of working as part of a small dedicated team of engineers and have the ability to interact well with your colleagues and the wider business.
EASA B1.3 or B2 licence, type rated S61.
Consideration will also be given to engineers who hold a type licence in the category complex/multi engine.
Full UK driving license.
At least five years Line or Base maintenance on S61 or complexed/multi engine helicopters.
This role is based in the Falkland Islands, the successful candidate will need to comply with Falkland Islands Immigration policy and obtain a relevant work permit if not a Falkland Islands resident.
