Purpose of Position

The Charter Specialist serves as the direct link between SaxonAir Charter and the client, managing day to day affairs and ensuring customer satisfaction. This includes ensuring enquiries are dealt with quickly and followed up in a timely manner as well as being pro-active in the clients charter experience resulting in increased business for the company. As a Charter Specialist the role is also to provide operational support and have a thorough knowledge of all company operations processes and regulatory requirements.

 

 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Respond quickly and accurately to direct and broker charter enquiries.

  • Build and maintain client relationships to meet sales goals.

  • Act as a point of contact, portraying an efficient professional image to valued SaxonAir clients.

  • Be familiar with all industry and company services in order to discuss and explain materials to prospective clients.

  • Work with customers to identify challenges that our organization can solve.

  • Ensure a seamless client experience from start to finish.

  • Gather competitive intelligence regarding pricing and other information.

  • Suggest improvements that can be made to increase revenue.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase revenue from broker clients through empty leg and away from base availability sales.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase revenue from direct clients through lead conversion.

  • Produce regular and ad-hoc marketing material for prospective industry clients.

  • Liaise with the accounts department to ensure payment is arranged and received within set timeframes and credit limits.

  • Provide operational support to the aircraft fleet alongside the Operations team as and when required.

  • Actively contribute and be involved in the SaxonAir Quality and Safety Management System.

  • Take guidance and direction from the Charter Sales Manager.

  • All other duties as directed by the Charter Sales Manager.

     

     

 

Job Function Specifics

  • Respond to charter enquiries within 30 minutes.

  • Qualify and respond to sales leads

  • Develop new business

  • Respond to all other items of enquiry

  • Undertake on-call requirements at evenings and weekends as required.

  • Update the Flight Management System (LEON) with the latest schedule and client information.

  • Update the CRM system with latest sales and lead data.

     

 

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience within the business aviation charter arena.

  • Persuasive and able to negotiate.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Commercially minded lateral thinking.

  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, flexible and adaptable.

  • Customer service orientated.

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and propose ideas in highly pressurized situations.

     

    Other Skills / Abilities

  • Proficient with common computer packages

  • Ability and willingness to learn new things
