Welcome to Delta Air Lines and thanks for checking-in to the opportunity to join our Customer Service team as a Cargo Customer Service Agent - Ready Reserve. As a member of our ground crew, you'll work in an enjoyable team environment and help make sure that our passengers' cargo arrives timely.
Cargo Agents lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. Duties also include operating ground support equipment such as tugs, conveyor belts and tow tractors. Cargo duties may include accepting, delivering, and handling cargo shipments including preparing paperwork; lifting and transporting shipments to/from loading equipment.
To qualify for this position, you must:
* Have a valid driver's license
* Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
* Be at least 18 years of age
* Ability to pass an extensive background check, drug test and audiogram
* Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
* Authorized to work in the US
* Ability to read, speak and write English
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Previous cargo operations experience is preferred, but not essential.
