As a Cargo Claim Officer, you have to monitor and assist the processing of Cargo, P.O. Mail and Courier claims submitted by customer in our in-house system and initiate corrective measures to minimize carrier’s liability exposure against claims. You will also assist team members to investigate, evaluate and analyse all assigned claims within departments’ set timelines and hold highest customer service standards in order to maintain good relationship with customers.
Management & Leadership:
You must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience with a background in air cargo operations. You should have sound understanding on Conventions Regulations that applies for air transportation of Cargo. You should have a good understanding of cargo claims handling procedures and loss prevention methods. You will need to have advanced level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, work, power point) and must have good command of written and spoken English.
You should be able to manage and lead projects, have good presentation skills and should have the ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow. You should have strong mentoring and coaching skills.
You should have exposure to IATA regulations like, live animal regulations, dangerous goods regulations, and perishable cargo regulations. You should be familiar with using Cargo systems.
