Job Title: Cabinet Shop Mechanic (AERIA Luxury Interiors)
Job Description: SUMMARY:
Responsibilities of the Cabinet Shop mechanic (Completions) include working with shop personal in the building of interior cabinets and the safety of fellow employees and shop equipment. Cabinet Shop Mechanic must use the methods, techniques, and practices prescribed in the current Drawings provide for interior modifications, manufacturer’s maintenance manual or instructions, or other methods, techniques, and practices contained in the company manual system; using the tools, equipment, and test apparatus, within current calibration, to assure completion of the work is in accordance with regulations and high standards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Comply with the safe aircraft interior removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which will include fabricating new cabinets, galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and ceiling panels, and VIP windows closeouts in accordance with engineering drawings).
2) Coordinate with Supervisors and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications.
3) Comply with training requirements, Lead must review their work prior to sign off to ensure work complies with quality control standards.
4) Accept responsibilities as required. Oversee projects or other technicians and assess requirements of assigned tasks to procure required materials and documentation for assigned tasks.
5) Work with Lead Mechanic to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
6) Comply with standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, sewing machines, sanders and Glue booth. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
7) Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with company operation procedures, quality standards and approved data.
8) Comply with safety, and housekeeping policies and use personal protective equipment as required. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
9) Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate projects with other shops/departments as required.
10) Comply with company policies pertaining to personal conduct and attendance.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Proficient skills in the following:
Strong working knowledge of aircraft VIP modification/fabrication procedures and processes. Strong level of interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written); ability to deal with Managers ,Supervisors/co-workers professionally and tactfully. Sound judgment and discretion; creative and analytical thinker; ability to multi-task. Strong supervisory skills.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: The Cabinet Shop mechanic performs the duty assignment by the Cabinet Shop Lead and is limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. The individual in this position is expected to be a self- starter. Total end results determine effectiveness of job performance.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various departments, management and customers. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Essential responsibilities are performed 80% in the shop and 20% on the aircraft. Must be able to function in a busy and goal oriented environment, strive to meet short deadlines, maintain numerous projects simultaneously, some long work hours required due to schedule requirements.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft modification and frabrication for AERIA completions. Must have strong knowledge of VIP/corporate interiors, components, materials and vendors. A working knowledge of FAA certification requirements for AERIA interiors.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
