Cabin Crew Training Manager Wizz Air UK

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Cabin Crew Training Manager Wizz Air UK reports to the Crew Training Manager Wizz Air UK, and the role’s responsibility is to manage all aspects of cabin crew related training of Wizz Air UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FUNCTION

Ø Being responsible for the cabin crew training internal recruitment within the Wizz Air UK;

Ø Acting as team leader of Cabin Crew Standardization Instructors;

Ø Line management of the UK cabin crew training team, including Instructors and all personnel involved in crew training on behalf of Crew Training Manager UK;

Ø To ensure that cabin crew standard operating procedures comply with EASA and national aviation regulations and requirements in particular, with the terms and conditions laid down in the company AOC;

Ø In conjunction with instructors and cabin crew base managers, is responsible for issues relating to company operating procedures and cabin crew checking, including, but not limited to:

* Standardization and monitoring of cabin crew training and checking;

* Setting expected techniques for training including any third party training;

* Maintenance of cabin crew training records under the terms of the AOC;

* Amending of training programs, examination rules and proficiency checks, in line with changes in EASA regulations and/or AOC relevant aviation law;

Ø To act as liaison with the Authority;

Ø Establish, maintain, revise and distribute OM Part D UK and monitor compliance of OM D – Cabin crew training with internal and external audit programs;

Ø To publish Cabin Crew Training Orders;

Ø To inform cabin crew about changes of safety and emergency procedures via crew orders and cooperate

about these with flight operation department (training manager/head of flight operations);

Ø To contact third party training providers for required cabin crew training and the oversight of the third party training activities;

Ø Plan and publish sufficient amounts of cabin crew training personnel in a timely manner;

Ø Keeping of cabin crew training records system updated;

Ø Monitoring continuously the updated system and process of cabin crew training records storage.

AUTHORITIES OF THE FUNCTION

Ø Recruit cabin crew training personnel;

Ø To set standards for cabin crew training in cooperation with the Crew Training Manager Wizz Air UK and Cabin Crew Training Manager;

Ø Appoint flight trainers (LT), ground examiners (GE), ground trainers (INS, CRM Trainers); Ø Temporarily revoke crewmember qualifications, pending re-qualification or investigation into the crewmember's performance standards;

Ø Discontinue training of crewmember if required based on trainers feedback.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Ø Comprehensive knowledge of:

* Applicable EU safety regulations and associated requirements;

* Familiarity with management systems preferably in the area of aviation;

ØFive years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry;

Ø Appropriate management experience, preferably in a comparable organization;

Ø Strong presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills;

Ø Experience in a multi-cultural, international organization;

Ø Native, or similar standard, of spoken and written English;

Ø Ability to live and work in the UK;

Ø Flexibility to travel as required away from UK Head Office.
