Our client specialises in Filtration systems for a number of sectors including, Aerospace, Energy, water and they are seeking a Buyer to work In a busy team.
The role of the Buyer is to Order/schedule placement and progressing of components/parts or services ensuring on time delivery in full to meet defined business objectives
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*The raising of Purchase orders, ensuring price, delivery, technical, quality and commercial specifications are correctly defined *Work with suppliers to build a strong professional working relationship *The progressing of Purchase orders *Monitor supplier performance ensuring supplier quality/delivery matrixes are met *To communicate effectively with internal and external customer's *Raising of works orders for MSUB and TSUB applications *Other reasonable duties as directed by the Supply Chain Manager *Prepared to work outside of normal work hours to meet the demands of the business
Skills & Knowledge Required:
*Good negotiation skills *Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous *Good understanding of MRP systems, knowledge of Syspro would be advantageous *Competent in MS Word and Excel
*Experience in a manufacturing environment *Aerospace industry knowledge
