Business Management Apprentice

LMUK IS Havant have an exciting opportunity for Students studying A-Levels to undertake a two year Advanced Apprenticeship in Print and Printed Packaging gaining an industry recognised Level 3 Diploma in Digital Pre-Press for Print
The Apprentice will be based within the LMUK IS Programme Office.
The apprenticeship will entail on the job learning at LMUK IS Havant together with external training provided by the awarding organisation. Apprentices will also have the opportunity to undertake a number of Lockheed Martin business training courses which will complement their external training.
The onsite learning will see the Apprentice embedded into the Technical Publications team at LMUK is Havant where, with guidance from Subject Matter Experts develop skills and gain experience to provide evidence of their knowledge and learning. Apprentices will be exposed to all aspects of publishing skills such as preparing text and graphics for technical documents and marketing brochures with the use of Microsoft Office applications and graphics packages such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Printing the prepared material on advanced Xerox printers and finishing using binding machines will also be part of the routine. The training will include the inhouse document management system Windchill for storing and collaborative working of material.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience
4 GCSE/iGCSE – A* to C, (to include Maths and English)
A/AS Level - minimum acceptable is grade A (to incude English and Maths)
Key Skills - minimum acceptable is Level 2
