Position description

In order to secure and further enhance the SWISS business results, a new continuous improvement program will be launched in 2018. The program reports directly to the CEO and has direct access to all divisional heads. It cooperates closely with similar programs launched at all Hub Airlines within the LH Group. The program is set up for two years and will be designed, steered and coordinated by a small program office led by the Head of Continuous Improvement. “Continuous Improvement” in this respect is currently still a working title and does not directly refer to our KAIZEN organization. Key resources will be supplied from all business units at SWISS. After a design phase the program will be conducted by applying the Agile approach.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating and running respective Agile sprint sessions in order to generate and implement improvement projects/initiatives together with the respective business divisions. You will be responsible for developing and conducting appropriate metrics to keep track of the program success. Moreover, you will conduct internal “road-shows” to promote the program within the SWISS organization and liaise with all divisions at SWISS as well as with the respective LH Group process owners. You will be part of the Business Development & Executive Office team.

Your Duties

* Prepare, organize and conduct sprint sessions to create improvement initiatives/projects and to implement initiatives/projects together with the respective divisions
* Create and develop a group of multipliers capable to run sprints
* Develop metrics and report on the development of the program
* Develop appropriate communication concept and promote the program in the SWISS organization
* Maintain close exchange with continuous improvement initiatives at LH Group


* University degree or comparable education
* Experience from working in Agile projects of advantage
* Experience as a Scrum Master of advantage
* Sound knowledge of SWISS business processes of advantage
* Experience in the airline industry of advantage
* English and German (oral and written), French (oral) of advantage
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills
* Open for thinking “out-of-the box”
* Empathic team-player with good communication skills
* Deeper understanding of the CH-culture and practices
* Highly motivated, pro-active and self-driven individual
* Confident, with a strong business drive and able to perform consistently also under pressure
* Entrepreneurial spirit, conceptually strong and capable of seeing the bigger picture with a strong lead for change

100%, also possible in job sharing with 50%/50% - limited contract until end of June 2019
