The role of Business Development Manager is to grow opportunities for the business in its key market segments.

This role is self-managed and offers autonomy in how it is approached. As such we will consider applications from those looking for a full time, part time or consultancy position. In addition this role can be held from any location. The ability to travel and attend meetings as required, is key.

We will also consider applications from Business Development Executives who can demonstrate some of the key credentials required as well as the ability to grow into the more senior role.

Responsible for (including but not limited to):

  • Building opportunities with existing customers for additional business growth and profit
  • To market RVL’s services to new customers
  • Management of KPIs
  • Working alongside the Head of Commercial & Ground Operations, and the Managing Director, on key strategic projects
  • Meeting or beating monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Identifying untapped opportunities with new customers and in new markets
  • Managing the company’s CRM on a regular basis
  • Sales activity co-ordination with the company’s marketing and associated social media activities
  • Working with Communications to develop effective sales tactics and sales collateral

Qualifications & Role Requirements:

Essential:

  • Familiarity with aviation generally, and one or more of air freight, aerial survey and charter sectors
  • We expect candidates to have their own contacts in these markets, and the ability to develop and establish new contacts
  • Because this role is heavily focused on maintaining and developing existing and new relationships, excellent interpersonal skills are crucial
  • The ability to work against KPIs
  • Hold a full driving license & valid passport.
  • Eligible to work and reside within the United Kingdom

Desirable:

  • Product knowledge of company supported aircraft and their operation.
