Are you an experienced Business Development Manager?

JMC have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to either work at our client's base based in Wales or remotely with good transportation links. (Experience in the aviation industry is preferred but not essential)

About the role

As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for leading and growing an already profitable area of the business with their products and services while maintaining existing relationships and building new business.


  • Identifying new sales leads

  • Developing alternate sales opportunities by identifying new market requirements for components and services

  • Pitching products and/or services

  • Maintaining effective and strong relationships with existing customers

  • Researching organisations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets

  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing

  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

  • Identify the B2B opportunities to further develop business opportunities to sell aviation products into a variety of sub-sector markets

  • To sell and exploit revenue opportunities for components that we either have direct access to or can procure access to across the aviation used parts industry.

  • To optimize all such opportunities to seek to sell direct to the highest level of seller within the product chain (i.e. sell to final product manufacturer or even to end users)

  • Working with our component repair partners to develop collaborative arrangements for the repair / recertification of materials for sale into MRO markets, spares markets and the like.


  • Experience in the aviation industry is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong business acumen

  • Willing to travel

  • Excellent communication skills via email, phone and face to face

  • Experienced in negotiation, both remotely and face to face

  • Track record in sales/business area growth

  • Experience in producing quotes and proposals

  • Resilient with the ability to work well under pressure and with strong organisational and time management skills.


  • Location To Be Agreed - the company is based in Wales but potentially the successful candidate can be based in any UK location with good transport links.

  • Salary Negotiable - dependent upon experience - significant sales linked bonuses available.
