About the role

This business development role will develop new and manage existing strategic partner relationships to generate new business opportunities for both Virgin Australia and the Airline’s media business “Virgin Australia adspace”.

This role will proactively secure new business in addition to managing an established direct and in-direct sales pipeline.

Team work will be critical to success and this role will have a voice in business planning, asset development and will also need to play a role in supporting operational delivery across a wide variety of assets.

While this role will predominately be focused on the media business, other commercial accounts and projects may form part of the role. This exciting opportunity can be based in either Brisbane or Sydney.

About you

To be a standout candidate, you will have experience building long and lasting relationships with senior stakeholders through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proven business development and financial management experience is a must.

This role will be very busy and demanding at times so your ability to think creatively and make effective decisions coupled with your ability to network effectively across several departments will also ensure you succeed in this role.

To complement your experience, you will have:

* Solid presentation development and campaign reporting skills

* A great eye for detail

* Strong problem solving and analytical skills

* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise

* Ability to make high level, complex and critical decisions within minimal supervision and or support
