Role Purpose

A Part 66 B Licensed Aircraft Engineer, expected to manage aircraft hangar inputs and ensure that all maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently, and to all customer and Flybe requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • To accept Part 145 responsibilities as delegated by the Production Manager(s).
  • To accept responsibility for aircraft inputs (or lines of inputs) as directed by the Production Manager.
  • To accept responsibility for the budgetary requirements of each aircraft input delegated.
  • To accept all C cert responsibilities of each input.
  • To accept responsibility for engaging in continual improvement processes.
  • To assume responsibility for the bay in which you operate.
  • To promote 'People Focus' through actions and planning.
  • To assist with Project work when not running an aircraft input or line of inputs.


Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Fully conversant with Q Pulse.
  • Able to communicate effectively and accurately, working well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, contributing to and sharing best practice.
  • Customer orientated with sound commercial acumen.
  • The ability to absorb new information and learn aviation issues quickly.
  • Expected to control aircraft hangar inputs, ensuring that all maintenance carried out is carried out safely,efficiently, and to all customer and Flybe requirements.
  • Experience of People Management which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organise work assignments for lower grade personnel.
  • Experience of aircraft release certification under the privileges of a company authorisation.
  • Experience of interfacing with customers and other internal departments.
  • Experience and knowledge of budget control
  • EASA Part 66 Licence B1.1 and / or B2 licence.
  • Appraisal (PDR) Training
  • 3 type ratings from the following types - DH8 Q400, Embraer 175/195, ATR 42/72, Bae146/RJ, E135/145, CRJ600. Including a Category C licence.
  • EWIS, Fuel Tank Safety & Human Factors.
  • Part 66 B Licensed Aircraft Engineer.


Desirable Experience and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AMOS is highly desirable.
  • Diploma of Aviation Maintenance Management.
  • Analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in feedback and coaching
