Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Operator on all technical matters relating to heavy maintenance.
  • Monitor performance of inputs to ensure compliance with the requirements of EASA Part 145.
  • Act as a liaison between Operator and the contracted provider throughout the duration of inputs.
  • Monitor, Identify and address potential issues which impede timely performance of inputs, particularly issues which have the potential to become critical path items.  
  • Ensure technical issues arising on check are managed in accordance with the contract between the contracted provider and the Operator.
  • Ensure requirements of Appendix 11 contract between the Operator and contracted provider are fulfilled.
  • Monitor progress and intervene where necessary to ensure required spare parts and material are in place in a timely manner.  
  • Monitor progress and intervene where necessary to ensure technical queries arising from the input are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Manage defect rectification costs, and maintain up to date listing of defect rectification costs for each input.
  • Maintain findings list across base maintenance inputs.
  • Ensure all findings are recorded in AMOS and linked to the applicable scheduled taskcards.
  • Monitor for opportunities to implement efficiencies and savings in base maintenance.
  • Reconciling invoices with recorded findings and rectification.
  • Manage the on site Stobart Air Store.
  • Define and plan pre loads for each input

 Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 Year’s experience managing ATR (including aging aircraft and ATR42/72-600) aircraft base maintenance inputs at 1C, 2C, 4C, 2YE, 4YE and 8YE level.
  • 10 Year’s experience as a certifying aircraft engineer.
  • The ability to use AMOS competently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance with requirements of EASA Part 145.
  • Detailed knowledge of the heavy maintenance aspects of ATR Maintenance Programme.

Other Requirements:

Remaining onsite with base maintenance aircraft for the duration of inputs.

Demonstrated ability to:

(i)                  manage large workload in a time sensitive environment

(ii)                coordinate heavy inputs in parallel where necessary

(iii)               achieve resolution of issues in a timely and manner while maintaining effective relationships with all parties.
