Boeing B737NG Line Captain

Remuneration and Benefit Package

For Option 1, China residency

An all in yearly package totaling 506,000 US$ per year before tax

Before tax remuneration is based on an all in after tax package (averaged over 6 years) of 322,800 US$ per year at a Chinese taxation rate of 36.2%. Higher home taxation rates would increase the before tax remuneration level. The net of tax package encompasses the following:

  • a monthly remuneration package, including allowance and bonuses, averaging 26,900 US$ net of taxes as follows:
  • for 75 block hours per calendar month, a monthly salary of 21,889 US$ net of Chinese taxes.
  • overtime pay at 300 US$ net of Chinese taxes for block hours above 900 hours per twelve months;
  • a yearly safety bonus net of Chinese taxes of 24,000 US $ per year.
  • forty two days of paid vacation per twelve months of service;
  • the benefits listed below.

For Option 2, A: 22 days on / 8 days off or B: 44 days on / 18 days off

An all in yearly package totaling 487,200 US$ per year before tax

Before tax remuneration is based on after tax package (averaged over 6 years) of 310,800 US$ per year at a Chinese taxation rate of 36.2%. Higher home taxation rates would increase the before tax remuneration level. The net of tax package encompasses the following:

An all in yearly package totaling 229,800 US$ per year before tax

Before tax remuneration is based on after tax package (averaged over 6 years) of 160,800 US$ per year at a Chinese taxation rate of 29%. Higher home taxation rates would increase the before tax remuneration level. The net of tax package encompasses the following: 

  • a monthly remuneration package, including allowance and bonuses, averaging 13,400 US$ net of taxes as follows:
  • a monthly salary net of Chinese taxes 9,556 US $.
  • a yearly safety bonus net of Chinese taxes of 10,000 US $ per year.
  • overtime pay at 250 US $ net of Chinese taxes for block hours above 560 hours per twelve months;
  • a 60 days on / 60 days off schedule;
  • the benefits listed below.

Plus for all options 

  • a net of Chinese taxes yearly bonus depending on the financial results of the Airline. Based on past years, this bonus is estimated at about 10,000 US $ per year. (Note that since its founding 23 years ago, Xiamen Airlines has always been profitable)
  • a yearly net of Chinese taxes contract renewal bonus of 10,000 US $ starting with the first renewal year;
  • a yearly net of Chinese taxes living allowance of 7,000 Yuan (approximately 1,100 US $) per month;
  • a yearly net of Chinese taxes travel allowance of 6,000 US $;
  • an yearly after tax education allowance of 8,000 US$ for up to two child;
  • a yearly insurance allowance of 2,000 US $ to cover health and loss of license insurance;
  • seven days of paid sick leave per year;
  • five days of paid compassionate leave per year;
  • ID travel privileges on Xiamen Airlines as per Airline rules.

Xiamen Airlines offers a renewable employment contract of three years.

Qualifications and experience requirements

Candidates must:

  • ICAO ATPL with a captain type rating on the B737 NG or EFIS (3/4/500) family;
  • 5,000+ hours total time;
  • 2,000+ hours total PIC and FO time on multi-crew, multi-engine jets;
  • 500+ hours as PIC on the B737 NG or EFIS (3/4/500);
  • hold a Class 1 medical and with at least three months of validity as of the joining date;
  • have flown the aircraft within the last 12 months;
  • age 55 or below as of the joining date;
  • have no history of incidents or accidents;
  • have an ICAO English level 4 or above qualification indicated on the pilot license.

Candidates who hold a Being EFIS (B737-3/4/500, B747-400, B767 and B777) captain rating who meet the above requirements (with the exception of the PIC time on the B737NG) are also acceptable on a case-by-case basis.

Airline will provide accepted candidates who meet the above requirements with recurrent or conversion training under a training bond agreement.

  • Last three pages of your logbook (both sides of page) or electronic equivalent;
  • License verification letter from local CAA if available.
