Leonardo Belgium SA (LBe) is a Belgium subsidiary of the international group Leonardo Spa, a leading aerospace company in the world. It is certified as a Maintenance Organization in accordance with, among others, EASA and FAA regulations (Part 145) by Belgium CAA.

It is mainly focus on supporting the operations of Leonardo central-north Europe operators.

To continue its development, LBe is currently seeking a Part 66 B2 Licensed Engineer with AW139 type rating.

Job content:

The job holder will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out maintenance work on AW139 as Certifying staff and also other AW helicopter models in accordance with aeronautics law and regulations and internal LBe procedures;
  • Supporting the avionic part of the inspections from daily to 2400 hours of flight;
  • Performing troubleshooting and proceeding with release to service the helicopter if it’s fit for the schedule flight;
  • Working autonomously with a limited support from other specialists.

The role requires maintenance services to be performed both at the LBe Base and also in the field, at customer premises.

His/her responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Hand-on activities on aircraft;
  2. Complete required paperwork/ job cards in accordance with regulations;
  3. Maintain the work bay clean and ordered;
  4. Comply with the health and safety requirements set by LBe or its customers
  5. Remain updated on helicopter’s technology and configuration to meet the requirements of LBe Customer;
  6. Support Technical and Logistic Office staff Ground in the management of Work package and spares;
  7. Work within a team environment, respecting others, sharing knowledge and experience.

 

Professional qualifications and other requirements

To be considered eligible, candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria, as specified below:

  • Be eligible to work in a civil EASA environment;
  • Have an EASA B2 Maintenance License with no limitation;
  • Hold a rating on AW139;
  • Professional experience of at least 10 years in the aviation maintenance  (in the helicopter environment);
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in the AW139 maintenance; 
  • Good command of both written and spoken English;
  • Ability to use contemporary standard computer applications.

Contract Details and offer :

Contract Effectiveness Date: from September/ October 2019 with initial fixed contract – it will be a salaried role working Monday to Friday – 37h30 hours per week (with possible overtime).

Continuation: in case of full satisfaction on the service given, LBe will propose a permanent contract.
