Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Embedded Electronics Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position will involve circuit board design and test primarily for military avionics applications. Work duties include component selection, schematic design and capture, board level testing and debugging, and system level integration and testing, and engineering documentation. Systems under design incorporate a combination of skillsets spanning digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF applications. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on microcontroller-based embedded hardware and firmware products. The position will include significant interaction with other design engineers, project managers, technicians, circuit board layout personnel, and manufacturing personnel.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of applicable experience with microcontroller-based embedded hardware and firmware products.
Experience with checkout, debug and troubleshooting of electronic printed circuit board assemblies comprising embedded hardware and firmware is required.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Familiarity or experience with any of the following would be a plus:
Embedded microcontroller-based hardware design
Interfacing to sensors and high speed mixed-signal components
Real-time embedded firmware and VHDL
Mentor Graphics DxDesigner schematic capture software
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
* Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
