Role: Avionic Lead Engineer

Pay: Negotiable dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent

Location: South Coast

 

Searching a Senior Avionics Design Engineer to be a pivotal member of a growing team. You will be appointed CVE signatory, fully involved with designing and certifying avionic and electrical modifications.  Being able to lead and support both the Avionic team and the Head of Airworthiness in civil and military projects will require a responsible, adaptable attitude to the varied and exciting challenges. The role is based on the South Coast of England.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking total ownership of an avionic design project to satisfy the contract specification and to comply with all relevant EASA, CAA, FAA, GCAA or National Authority Regulations
  • Estimate, quote, application and document compilation, project classification, checking and/or approval of project design and Compliance Verification
  • Representing the company and liaising with customers, regulatory bodies, authorities, suppliers and manufacturers at aircraft surveys and meetings as required
  • Avionic mentoring, motivating and assessing personnel with performance reviews
  • Management of the department project workload and upward reporting ensuring work is on time and completed in full

Skills and qualifications desired:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Significant knowledge and experience of Aircraft Avionic systems integration
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory design requirements
  • Prior experience of writing reports, manuals, equipment and safety assessments
  • Company commitment, flexible, reliable, accurate and able to deliver to tight deadlines within budget
  • Excellent teamwork and inter-personal skills
  • CVE and DAOS signatory
