We are looking for a full-time Aviation Web Marketing Specialist for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City Area. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging a thorough and in-depth knowledge of Garmin’s Aviation products, executing all aspects of website marketing to ensure successful creation and maintenance of web pages, product launch activities and dealer announcements for Garmin’s Aviation business segment. Other essential functions include:

*

Deliver creative and high-impact website content, press releases, marketing memos and product launches in concert with sales and communications teams

*

Manage the development and maintenance of all aviation web pages and executes real-time edits

*

Develops dealer Marketing announcements and content

*

Sets up, maintains and organizes product information, pricing and specifications for the web including flags for products for display, preparing products specifications, and sorting products in the web store

*

Sets up, maintains and organizes product information for the Dealer Resource Center (DRC)

*

Manages search optimization and search advertising for aviation products

*

Execute Aviation marketing strategies in collaboration with the Aviation Marketing Manager

*

Collect and analyze data to evaluate existing web activity

*

Collaborate with business segment leaders, external partners and dealers, Garmin Europe/Taiwan/Salem and Garmin’s Marketing Communications, IT, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams regarding product and web marketing activities

*

Train sales teams on product selling points and creating detailed competitive analysis.

*

Conduct internal and external marketing presentations as needed

*

Attend industry tradeshows, meetings, and other events as required

*

Assist the Marketing and Sales staff for all product related needs

*

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or another field related to the essential functions of this job description. Other requirements include:

*

Must possess a minimum of one year sales or marketing experience

*

Must possess current pilot certification

*

Must possess experience working in the aviation marketplace

*

Must be detail-oriented and the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

*

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

*

Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality

*

Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

*

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with presentations to large groups

*

Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

*

Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems

*

Must demonstrate analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered

*

Must be schedule orientated with the ability to work with others to meet deadlines

*

Must demonstrate a proven track record in providing excellent customer service

*

Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential company matters

*

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Desirable qualifications include:

Extensive Garmin Aviation product knowledge including a strong understanding of the avionics industry, product technologies and their value to the customer.

*

General knowledge of aircraft systems

*

Active pilot with Instrument rating

*

Working knowledge or experience with graphical editing using Photoshop, In-Design or equivalent

*

Familiar with HTML Web interface
