Aviation Systems / Mobile Applications Test Engineer for Pilots-190016U

We are looking for a full-time Aviation Systems / Mobile Applications Test Engineer for our engineering office in Chanhassen, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, communication status and schedule for systems and mobile applications testing needs applicable to planned deliveries. These mobile applications are used by pilots, so pilot experience is strongly preferred! Other essential functions include:

*

Execute integration and system tests for integrated avionics systems and mobile applications

*

Work closely with product development team to write test plans that clearly explain test objectives and detailed test steps

*

Communicates status and schedule for the system testing needs applicable to planned deliveries

*

Design, develop and maintain test software and scripts

*

Collect and conduct system log analysis

*

Generate written test reports

*

Coordinate test laboratory activities including configuration and maintenance of avionics systems and supporting software test tools

*

Provides feedback to development teams to ensure solutions are designed to meet system testing needs

*

Provide support in debugging and reproduction problems reported in production environments

*

Identify and implement improvements to system testing processes and guidance

*

Identifies improvements and modifies tools for use in system testing

*

Applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion

Other responsibilities include:

*
Work with Functional Leads and Testers to understand business processes and assist them with documentation of test cases and development of automated test scripts

*
May serve as OEM product test coordinator

*
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or another related field from a four-year college or university AND a minimum of 1-year relevant experience. Other requirements include:

Demonstrates knowledge of several complex integrated avionic functions

*

Demonstrates mastery of relevant tools for use in system testing

*

Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills

Pilot experience or previous experience working with or aviation mobile application products is highly preferred!
