Performing analysis and follow up of occurrences using risk assessment and classification (prioritisation of oversight), trend monitoring, statistics, standard reports and remedial action monitoring. Ensure data quality, data entry and appropriate monitoring processes are applied Preparing and providing trend and analysis data to support departmental safety meetings, Disseminating significant safety
information to all concerned parties and assisting in the implementation of the
aviation safety information system and network;Contribute to the content of
safety publications; Ensuring that hazards, incidents, significant and serious incidents and accidents are reported in accordance with the procedures established by the Safety Management Manual; Gathering and analysing aviation safety performance data trends to assess the safety of the operation; Ensure that Safety reports and investigations are completed within the defined timescales; Primary operational safety issues should be identified and disseminated to the appropriate departments; Safety publications should be published and distributed as necessary. 

Safety Risk Management

  • Perform  event risk classification and coordinate safety investigations across various disciplines of the airline.
  • Review safety assessments to ensure adequate investigation processes have been applied, and close if satisfactory.
  • Perform trend diagnosis identified through safety investigations or by the safety analysts to proactively identify and understand key operational safety issues.
  • Participate in departmental safety action groups and ad-hoc working groups to support the review of safety data, trends, emerging issues and significant events.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Aviation Safety Manager regarding current airline safety issues and areas of focus. 

    Safety Promotion
  • Contribute to the production and publication of regular and routine airline safety communications and publications.

  • Support the Head of Safety Management with the continuous development of
    the organisation’s safety management system.

Computer literate – Microsoft Office

Safety database experience

Incident investigation 


Degree level educated, ideally in aviation or engineering discipline.

At least 2 years’ experience in a safety management environment 


Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines

Very good Communication and Presentation skills
