Reporting to the Director Finance, the Assistant Director, Corporate Finance - Global Office Co-ordinator and Finance GPO will be responsible for ensuring fit for purpose global finance processes, as well as to act as the coordinator of the same with regards to the global finance functions.
Coordinate the different heads of finance in the regional offices, to support their operations, and ensure alignment with head quarters and proper communications;
Maintenance and development of consistent and appropriate finance business processes and procedures for the global finance functions operating in regional and head office locations, including identification and implementation of updates to the Finance SOP;
Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance tools, including ensuring appropriate Finance SOD within and externally to SAP;
Support and assist the Director Finance on continuous improvement projects and other applicable project activities;
Act as point of contact for the rest of CS and other departments for financial policies queries and for evaluation of impact of these policies in their activities and projects;
Ensure regional and head office alignment and compliance with the Finance SOP including performing on-site reviews/audits;
Maintenance and enhancement of IATA's FPM;
Finance GPO responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* SAP SOD compliance;
* SAP enhancement prioritization;
* Liaising with other GPOs for global SAP needs;
* Lead the design of the chart of accounts and approve its changes.
Qualifications and Skills
A professional accounting qualifications (ACA, CPA etc.) and university degree;
At least 10 years experience in a relevant role, with at least 3 as head of finance in an international environment;
Strong IFRS knowledge and accounting skills;
Ability to work with business operations to design and build fit for purpose financial and accounting solutions;
Sound project management skills and expertise;
Proven track record in Finance process design and implementation;
Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and influencing skills;
Strong people management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other languages would be an asset.
