About The Job

​This job is a member of the Risk Management Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for fatigue reviews throughout Technical Operations.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Coordinates with American Airlines management and labor unions on fatigue reports during fatigue review meetings

* Researches FM Part 1 and operating manuals as necessary and responds to crew member reports, as directed

* Schedules crews for fatigue debrief meetings, if necessary

* Assists in the analysis of fatigue reports; identifies trends and flight safety concerns arising from the program

* Assists the Manager-Fatigue Risk Management System in facilitating fatigue review meetings and maintenance of records from each meeting

* Ensures timely responses to inquiries from crewmembers

* Coordinates corrective actions recommended by the Fatigue Review Committee

* Develops presentations regarding fatigue concerns

* Interfaces with all other departments as necessary

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science Degree in an aviation field or equivalent experience

* 3 years related job experience or education in Crew Scheduling, aviation operational environment, fatigue risk management or other areas of the human factors field

* Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc

* Ability to multi-task with changing priorities

* Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness

* Ability to interact with all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in human fatigue studies, human factors studies, safety studies, or crew scheduling/crew planning

* Experience working collaboratively with employee union groups

* Working knowledge of the FAR's and collective bargaining agreements

* Strong organization, analytical and interpersonal skills

* In-depth knowledge of AA/SABRE computer systems including CERS

* Ability to analyze and trend safety data
