Design Airworthiness Engineer - Babcock International - Gloucestershire Airport - Competitive Salary and Attractive benefits

About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Design Airworthiness Engineer to join our Mission Critical Services Design & Completion division. Babcock Design and Completions conducts in house design, manufacture, installation, test and certification activities for modifications to Civil and Military Aeroplanes and Helicopters.

You'll be part of a team that has over 30 years' experience in Emergency Medical Services, paramilitary and civil aircraft - delivering bespoke modifications and aircraft completions for a variety of aircraft types.

You will serve as an essential role within the Design Office, involved throughout the entire design process; from initial concept, through design and testing, to certification and subsequent in service monitoring. In particular you will liaise with multiple internal and external parties during the design process, conducting compliance demonstration activities.

You'll join an evolving department with plans for growth. This will create future opportunities and help with personal growth. You'll be given training where required as well as learning from a well established team of highly experienced engineers.

What do I need to do the role?

The person fulfilling this role must have worked within the aviation sector and should be qualified in one of the following ways:

  • Qualified to Degree level in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or;
  • HND/HNC in one of the above subjects with a minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience, or;
  • 5 years related industrial experience in a similar role (E.g. Civil/Military Aircraft Technician or Certifying Staff)

What else do I need to know?

  • Our headquarters are in Staverton, Gloucestershire.
  • 40 hours per week
