Role Purpose

This role address's the requirement for 24/7 AOG Materials function within the Technical Logistics team.

materials and logistics team based within the IOCC and working alongside Maintrol. 

 

Key Responsibilities

24/7 Material Support - Working a rotating shift (4 on / 4 off day/ night ) alongside MOC and IOCC Ops. Providing Material support for MRO, Line and Light Network supporting 3rd party providers and Flybe manned bases, and also white label deployments.

Ensure focus on Flybe Network line maintenance for both scheduled and unscheduled arisings requiring material support. This support group also delivers material support for overnight maintenance defects and requirements ,and material support for ATR SAS operations.

Liaise with both Contracted and non-contracted material providers to ensure timely supply of material requirements to support unscheduled and AOG arisings.

Manage the supply chain for this network focused role ,sourcing all Material requirements.

Work with the Airline Spares Manager and Airline Spares Support Planner to review all Component and Material base stocks on monthly basis to identify requirements for both increase holdings and surplus/redundant holdings.

Liaise with Key Stakeholders , internal and external , to deliver this support function.  Head of Logistics , Maintrol ,Head of Maintenance Ops , Base Production Manager.

Provide First stage Escalation SPOC for all material related issues affecting line and 3rd party network operational delivery.

Ensure all AOG , Critical and Operational Material requests are actioned within time frames required and dictated , working alongside MOC to recover out of service air frames and ensure materials for ADD/CDD requirements are ordered iaw APN 204 Parts Consumption forecast.

Ensure 24/7 Material Cover in place at all times- a key requirement of this role is a flexible approach to cover holiday and sickness to ensure 24/7 cover is maintained.

Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities

Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work 

 

Desirable Skills

Experience and understanding of Material Support function in Aerospace or related industry.

Experience of AMOS Material and Logistics systems, interpretation and delivery.

Understanding of material support disciplines and company procedures relating to both unscheduled and scheduled activity.

Understand all compliance and procedural requirements relating to Material Support.

Experience of engagement with internal and external stakeholders across multiple department's , both operational and commercial/financial.

Experience of working within a 24/7 shift based materials /logistics team.

Ability to deal with multiple inputs into the role ,primarily all time critical.

Experience and understanding of Legislation concerning material management and supply.

Experience of supporting high frequency operational industry with constantly changing priorities.

Experience of co-ordinating supply chain in terms of materials and logistics.

Excellent Communication skills.

Ability to work under own initiative and manage a constantly changing priority set.

 

Essential Skills

Experience of AOG Materials Desk Ops in Aerospace or similar related materials and logistics industries.

Experience of SMS with engineering or technical back groundor similar related industry safety protocols.
