Aircraft Technician
RAF Linton-on-Ouse, York

About the role

Here at Babcock we are recruiting for an Aircraft Technician on a permanent, full time basis.

You will work as part of a team, completing ground handling activities such as encompassing marshalling, flight servicing, associated replenishments and towing.

You will carry out first line maintenance, airframe and propulsion maintenance and repair, functional testing and fault diagnostics, systems functional checks and carry out any repairs arising.

What do I need to do the role?

We are ideally looking for:

  • Ex-Armed Forces Aircraft Technician or Civilian equivalent.
  • To be fully trained to recognised standards in relevant trade.
  • Have working knowledge of Military Aircraft maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Word/Excel)..
  • Current and valid driving licence with FMT 600 (or train to acquire the qualification)

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
