Aircraft Seat Fitter
Fixed Term 6 month Contract – Immediate Start
Salary £20,000 - £24,000 pa, dependent on experience
Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to strengthen our base workshop capabilities at our Manchester Airport and Stockport sites. As a result of this exciting opportunity, we are currently actively recruiting for Aircraft Seat Fitters on a fixed term, 6 month contract.
In this role you will be responsible for the stripping, cleaning, repair, and inspection of aircraft passenger, crew and flight deck seats in a workshop and aircraft hangar environment. You will be required to check and complete all paperwork associated with a technical data pack and ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the repair process.
Applicants need to have experience of using mechanical hand tools, need to be efficient and work to high quality standards.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Work on their own or as part of a team and be proactive and possess a can do attitude.
Ability to read and understand technical data (Drawings, service bulletins)
Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Experience of working in an aviation environment would be advantageous but not a necessity as training will be provided.
Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level would be an advantage or experience working in a mechanical/craftsman position.
Shifts are subject to change depending on operational requirements including working nights and weekends, away from base in the UK or overseas and overtime as and when required.
Due to location own transport and a full UK driving licence are essential.
A full DRB check will be required.
