Requirements

LOGMET LLC needs a support for aircraft sheet metal repair, modification, and application at an intermediate level on the A-10 and F-16 aircraft. Participate in Six Sigma aircraft and dock clean-up and FOD inspection. Possess a working knowledge of aircraft blueprints, technical orders, process orders, job guides and WCDs. Follow aircraft drawings to properly lay out hole patterns and process hole drill-up. Able to get cryogenic certification for panel/structural removal and bushing installation provided by the Government. Possesses the skills and ability to manufacture and install bushings using a lathe. Contractor shall be able to identify, inspect, and store aircraft parts that have been removed to FOM.


Perform mechanical stripping of paint on aircraft panels and surfaces, corrosion repair and mitigation on aircraft panels and structural components, modifications to and structural repair of aircraft panels and structural components, inspection and evaluation of structural damage to aircraft sheet metal systems, repair of composites, methods, procedures and inspections.  Set-up and operate various sheet metal tools, modification kit tooling and fixtures.


Properly position and utilize equipment, work stands, and fall protection devices including motorized aerial, scissor lifts, and other motorized power lifts and shall operate AGE to include, but not limited to: aircraft jacks, work stands, scaffolds, high pressure washers and air hoses. Perform visual inspections for damage to aircraft surfaces and components, inspect for corrosion, and record findings on proper documentation. Inspect aircraft for dings, dents, corrosion, loose or missing rivets.


Tape windows, landing gear, plastic, and fiberglass to protect from chemicals; acid etch and wash, prime epoxy, apply paint; make general repairs by manufacturing and installing new parts and reinforcing, patching and replacing defective parts. Perform modifications to aircraft structures and conduct final inspections. Prepare aircraft, components, and parts for coatings removal, remove or disassemble aircraft parts, components and access panels, and perform strip and cleaning operations in preparation for aircraft overhaul and technical order compliance changes.
