Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Sydney
Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 60 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
An excellent opportunity exists for suitably qualified individuals to join the Regional Express Engineering team as a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer located in Sydney.
This position reports to Sydney Line Maintenance Supervisor.
•Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
•Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner.
•Maintain all engineering vehicles, equipment and property in a clean and useable state for other shifts.
•Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary.
Essential Selection Criteria
•Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude.
•Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Trade Certificate/ Certificate IV or small aircraft lower group license.
•Ability to work a 7-day shift roster.
•Proven ability to work in a close knit team environment however also have the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
•A demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility.
•Understanding and willingness to accept the sometimes harsh work environment of line maintenance.
•Hold or ability to obtain an airport ASIC security ID and Airside Driver’s License.
•Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Selection Criteria
•SAAB 340 experience highly preferred
•Experience on transport category and/or turbo-prop aircraft
•Experience in Airline operations or relevant GA experience.
