JMC are working with an MRO company based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a new Aircraft Mechanic to join their team.    

This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick 40 hours per week, working on a 5/5/4 Shift Pattern

The Role:  

The primary purpose of this role is to complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as required, under instruction of the Shift Supervisor.    

Other Duties Involve:  

  • Observing and adhering to the company Tooling Policy at all times.         
  • Maintaining awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors.      
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed to the required standards.         
  • Ensuring that your personal work area, hangar bays and facility are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Notifying the company of any significant findings as soon as possible.         
  • Raising a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident.         
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.         

In order to be successful in this role the Aircraft Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:    

  • A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar         
  • Have extensive knowledge of line maintenance activities with hands on working experience
  • Good standard of written/spoken English including the ability to interact at a technical level      
  • Good computer literacy with experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel etc.         
  • Hold the right to work in the UK - proof is required as part of our shortlisting process
