Are you an experienced Aero Engine Engineer?

JMC Recruitment is working with a leading, independent Aviation Asset Management Consultancy to find an Aero Engine Engineer.

About the role

This is a permanent position based in Bridgend working Monday to Friday.

The post holder will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities within the company and also client owned aero engines, modules and transportation stands. The position will require an element of off-site and overseas travel for maintenance activities and training.

As the post holder you will be expected to gain a 145 'A Stamp' company approval and is expected to uphold and demonstrate all the key skills expected of such position.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking all assigned maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance and Planning Manager, EASA/FAR 145 maintenance level approval as recorded within the latest revision of the company Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).

  • The post holder must ensure that he/she remains fully conversant and up to date with airworthiness and regulatory standards and requirements relating to maintenance activities conducted.

  • Able to navigate and find relevant data within the OEM manuals (EMM, AMM, PPBUM, IPC, SPM) is essential, as some of the maintenance activities will be conducted as a lone worker. The ability to further interpret the manual data accurately is also a key requirement.

  • In conduct of the maintenance activities, the post holder will be responsible and expected to carry out all such activities as per the OEM manual requirements utilising all specified tooling/alternative tooling, and must notify the Operations Manager of any maintenance / documentation errors encountered as required under EASA regulatory Mandatory Occurrence Reporting CAP382 procedures.

Essentials

  • Experience in maintaining and inspecting engine types such as CFM series, V2500, CF6 series, RB211-535E4 and PW4000

  • Excellent understanding of company Quality Standards (AS9100, EASA145, and FAR145)

  • At least 5yrs relevant experience within an aviation maintenance environment.

  • The post holder will be expected to hold a 145 company approval and is expected to uphold and demonstrate all the key skills expected of such position.

  • Excellent communication skills
