We are looking for someone who is a passionate technical leader in the WCM development space using Adobe AEM as our strategic solution in order to deliver personalized, business owned, and timely content to users globally.
The WCM Development Lead will be responsible for leading design and architecture of our content management architecture, driving cross organizational and cross team solutions, and creating resilient and automated systems to empower business ownership of customer facing content. These solutions will span delta.com, virginatlantic.com, and many other site properties owned and operated by Delta. This role, reporting to the WCM Manager in Omnichannel, acts as a domain expert and will partner with peer level positions across the IT and business organization in order to build an industry best customer experience.

This is what you will be doing:
-Leading teams and hands on implementing and designing AEM solutions associated with product/project teams work streams
-Leading team efforts, delegating tasks, following up on progress of the team and coaching junior and new team members
-Transforming business requirements into conceptual/logical application architectures
-Determining feasibility & scalability of AEM solutions, interacting with business and product owners in order to define technical solutions for customer problems
-Production issue triage, management, and prevention as needed
-5 plus years of strong Web Content Management experience with Adobe AEM / CQ5, implementing 3+ full cycle AEM projects
-5 plus years of Java/J2EE development experience, hands-on troubleshooting and deployment experience
-Solid experience with CQ5 building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets and bundles
-Can architect and design solutions on Enterprise AEM based on business requirements
-Technical definition and implementation for analytics, error logging/tracking, and other key functional customer interactions on delta.com
-Technical debt resolutions, prevention & code reviews
-Analysis and implementation of Performance/Stability/Reliability initiatives
-Research & Development of POCs & innovative new ideas for customer interactions with Delta
-AEM experience with :
-developing applications, templates, and components in AEM 6.1 and above.
-localization of content
-dynamic data display modules
-new pop-ups and modals
-enhanced social media capabilities
-responsive web development
-integration with latest UI frameworks like node.js, bootstrap and angularJS
-Upgrade to new AEM versions
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
-Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field. Previous airline experience ideal.
-Ability to work within an Agile model.
-Experience building computer software within the Airline business a plus.
-Knowledge of Software Development - Involves knowing the general approach to developing software including practice, concepts, technology, and methodology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
-Node and NPM experience preferred
-Test Driven Development
