An opportunity has arisen to join one of the world’s leading provider of critical, complex engineering services. With over 100 years operating, they are a trusted partner who deliver vital services to defence, emergency services and civil nuclear. They are continuously managing complex assets globally.
  
Our client is looking to appoint a Structures Technician who will be responsible for the provision of Forward and Depth support for a Military Aircraft. You will report to the Structures Bay Controller and will carry out tasking in order to complete the day-to-day maintenance activities within the sector. This role requires that you have working knowledge of aircraft structure repairs.
  
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  
  • Current grade of Fitter within the Company.
  • Hold NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Airframe Maintenance.
  • Received military aircraft technical training in the Airframe Discipline.
  • Should possess experience working in an aircraft engineering environment with practical structural repair experience either in aircraft manufacture or as part of a repair team.
  • Able to interpret and follow technical drawings accurately.
  
SKILLS
  
  • Should possess sound fault diagnosis skills.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of structural repair criteria.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of aircraft airframe systems, trade related publications and MOD paperwork.
  • Good literacy and numeric skills.
  • Complete a practical test job prior to interview the test job is to be completed within a set time frame and to be within -+ .5mm tolerance (details will be issued following receipt of application).

  • Be able to demonstrate pride in task completion.
  • A focus attention to detail and fastidious in aspects of cleanliness and husbandry.
