Wire Installation Design Engineer (Safran Electrical & Power USA, LLC – Everett, WA)
Job Duties: Interface with external and internal customers on installation and bundle assembly issues by coordinating solutions for 2D and 3D Wire Harness Installation Designs. Communicate with the remote site's on-site representative and customer for technical meetings and reviews ensuring technical commonality for A/C. Coordinate and provide remote sites technical direction, work packages and instructions. Provide management coordination changes, including document updates and internal and external board presentation changes. Coordinate and lead technical impact assessments on all engineering changes coming from the customer or the Airframe partners. Engage in electrical/mechanical systems or product engineering, working directly with the Original Equipment Manufacturers. Supervise the team's day-to-day activities and work assignments. Coordinates all Logical activities with the design teams. Track issues and manage resolution for the remote work package.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or within the aerospace industry. 3 years of experience must include the following: Utilizing CATIA V5 and/or ENOVIA (or equivalent 3D CAD design experience such as ex P ProE or Unigraphics); and, Wire Harness Installation and Wire Harness Assembly design activities, processes, and tools.
