Position Overview: * Manage supply chain, operations, customer service, and engineering functions to create a customer-focused product flow * Partner with functional leads to ensure alignment between operations and functions * Identify and complete process improvement initiatives and drive an ACE focus throughout facility * Ensure efficiency across products by identifying and applying best practices across the shop * Focus on EH&S and Quality through application and awareness of policies, creating strong EH&S and Quality cultures * Build a culture of empowerment and innovation across the facility * Mentor Cell Leaders on supervisory responsibilities * Recognize success stories throughout site and reward as appropriate * Complete supervisory responsibilities for all direct reports (time & attendance, time off, rewards, training, communications, discipline, etc.) Specific Role Responsibilities: * Create a quality and safety-first culture throughout facility * Utilize data and metrics to identify process improvement opportunities * Create/modify standard work to better fit business/customer needs * Champion the shop floor management process: * Ensure Tier 1 shop floor meeting is held as scheduled, participate as necessary and provide communication and content for the meeting * Lead the Tier 2 Line by Line meeting with the team daily, ensure comments and actions are taken as appropriate * Participate in the Tier 3 DMB meeting daily, provide relevant information and escalate issues as they come up * Participate in the daily GEMBA walk, address concerns noted in a timely manner * Ensure pitch walks are completed daily per the standard work * Participate in management staff meeting weekly * Ensure progress toward Macro plan deliverables through the year * Update PDPR’s accordingly to show plans and progress toward achieving Macro plan deliverables * Address risks and negatively trending items with proactive RRCA * Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement events * Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive actions for cost savings Qualification: * Ability to lead and direct personnel in day to day operations * Demonstrated effective interpersonal & communication skills, along with technical competency * Exemplary attention to detail and professionalism is a must * Self-directed and able to learn quickly with strong ability to drive and deliver results * Demonstrated ethical decision making & quality first mindset Nothing matters more to UTC Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
