This position is a temporary AMT Instructor/Developer for 12 to 24 months and will be based in Atlanta, Georgia. At the end of this temporary assignment the successful candidate will return to his/her original work assignment and station. The successful candidate will develop and conduct avionics, aircraft support, autopilot, safe electronics practices and electronics related maintenance training in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and federal regulations. Utilizes the Instructional System Design process to develop and deliver training courses. Teaches assigned curriculum topics including, but not limited to, wiring diagram and schematic reading, electronic safety related items, wire and connector practices and repair, troubleshooting, test equipment, digital buss theory, communication and navigation theory and system operations, FMS and Autopilot systems. Conducts on-the-job training (OJT) as required by the curriculum. Develops, administers and evaluates curriculum required testing. Provides product support assistance to the hangar or Line Maintenance as necessary. Can perform instructional duties while operating Flight Training Devices and Computer Based Training workstations. Conducts lesson planning, curriculum adjustments, testing and student progress evaluation. Will be responsible for the revision, currency, maintenance and upkeep of the program and related training materials. Responsible for interacting with outside work groups as a subject matter expert for module development and reliability issue improvements. Classes are subject to scheduling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in locations worldwide. Must be willing and qualified to perform other instructional and aircraft maintenance duties as required. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Targeted candidates must have an A&P certification. Candidates from Base / Line Maintenance, Quality and Inspection preferred. Degree preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with good interpersonal skills required. Must be able to demonstrate above average presentation skills and an ability to use Windows-based software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphics software, etc. Should be highly motivated, self-disciplined and able to plan, organize and work well under deadlines to a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision. Should possess critical thinking and problem solving skills. An understanding of Instructional System Design in the development of course material is preferred. Must be able to research and interpret the Code of Federal Regulations, Technical Operations Policy and Procedures, SPPM, EPM and other manuals as they relate to course curriculum. Must be able to obtain a passport and visas to foreign countries. Must be able to travel and work various hours/shifts/days. Must possess a current and valid FAA AMT licenses. Must be able to obtain and maintain Line Maintenance qualifications.
