Tasks to be Accomplished

* Executing departmental training plan activities that includes Structured-on-the-Job (SOJT), Functional and Technical Skills development, and Compliance and Mandatory training requirements

* Actively interact with various organizations to ensure conformance to AS9100 training requirements

* Responsible for delivering training material to manufacturing staff in all targeted areas using blended learning solutions

* Support SOJT program and Organizational learning strategy, thru organization of OJT coaches, training coordination, scheduling, and planning

* Collaborate within targeted functional areas to assess instructional needs, implement appropriate technology/instructional solutions, establish timelines and identify desired outcomes

* Participate on New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, design / develop required training solutions, assist with design development of new material within targeted area

* Assist in the design and development of instructional material for internal learning applications using various learning technologies and approaches; i.e. CBT, e-Learning, and web-based for LMS Solution, etc…

* Assist in generating courseware, such as syllabus, lesson plans, student/instructor guides, presentation packages, and student evaluations

* Assist in the design and development of course assessments/evaluations, validations, and creative feedback improvement for continued success

* Work with functional teams on developing and publishing compliance and regulatory documentation

* Stay current on relevant product lines, equipment, adult learning principles, instructional technologies and evaluation methods working in Production

* Actively interact with various organizations to ensure conformance to AS9100 training requirements


Skills Required

* Superior documentation skills

* Planning of training courses and associated preparatory work

* Knowledge of compliance standards and practices in relation to manufacturing

* Knowledge of course design and development skills

* Ability to influence without authority and “sell” new ideas and approaches

* Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills

* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities

* Excellent communication, written and verbal, and presentation skills

* Professional instructional skills

* Outstanding organizational capabilities

* Independent and pro-active work habits

Experience & Education Requirements

* College /University Degree in engineering, technical or technology program or equivalent experience

* Technical (electro-optical-mechanical-manufacturing) background required

* A professional trainer’s certificate (CTT+) or equivalent experience is an asset

* Experience in an AS9100 or other regulatory environment

* Solid background using Microsoft Office tools with emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, Excel and MS Project

* Knowledge of adult training principles and concepts, instructional methods and training techniques, is an asset
