ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We are reviewing resumes in anticipation of future work supporting a major government agency. This is a contingent position; upon contract award, qualified candidates will be contacted with additional information. The Technical Instructor will provide the instructional delivery of technical training of courses managed by FAA Academy Technical Operations Training Division located in Oklahoma City, OK. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Provide theoretical and practical training in one or more subjects on assigned NAS equipment and systems for field technical experts involved with the installation, maintenance, repair, and certification of such equipment and systems. * Ensure all technical instruction is done in accordance with FAA training standards, policies, and guidelines * Delivers training of instructional courses * Conducts Classroom administration, to include, but not limited to: * Conducting student orientation on the first day of class as indicated on the Student Orientation Briefing slides or other provided media * Tracking student attendance and notifying appropriate FAA office regarding absences or other problems * Maintaining a class roster and submitting grades to appropriate FAA office * Proposing recommendations for improvements to the appropriate FAA office * Identifies the need for additional classroom resources and communicates these needs to the appropriate FAA office * Follows prepared lesson plans and ensures stated course objectives are presented * Measures student performance by using skill practices and tests * Uses course curriculum to help ensure that operational objectives are achieved * Utilizes such teaching methods and aids such as lectures, lab demonstrations, remedial discussion, coaching, lesson plans, student guides, lab guides, handouts, wall charts, prepared notes, and use of actual lab equipment Education and Experience Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology from an accredited college or university; OR associate's degree/vocational certificate in Electronic or Electro-Mechanics Technology, OR the equivalent of education and government, private sector, or military specific training on same or similar NAS system(s) Must have at least four years if experience in any combination of the following positions: * Technical (hands-on):Government or Private Industry Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electro-Mechanics Technology, Information Systems * Instructional: Government or Private Industry Electronics Technology or Mechanical Electronics Technology Specialized FAA System Experience: * Shall have a minimum of two (2) years working or instructing experience in at least one (1) of the following designated FAA specialty areas: * Radar * Navigation * Communications * Environmental * Weather * Information/Automation Systems * Power Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
