General responsibilities of the position: Area of Expertise:
Installation, operation, maintenance, repair and modification of equipment, controls or ancillary products. Guidance and training provided to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Analysis of equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
Level of Responsibility:
· Responsible for entire projects with significant scope and complexity;
· Contributes to the department or business unit by applying their advanced knowledge of one or more functional areas;
· May develop and coach others;
· Has expert knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines.
Specific responsibilities of position: ·Acts as customer and field service interface;
·Drives improvements based on end user experience;
·Performs corrective actions for field issues, special investigations, and product testing;
·Includes Power Plant engineers;
·Maintains effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate;
·Maintains frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy;
·Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter;
·Performs highly complex diagnostic procedures;
·Prepares reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement;
·Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership;
·Ensures that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
Qualifications required: · Bachelor degree with 6 to 10 years experience.
· Master degree with 4 to 7 years experience.
· Business sense is a key competency in this role.
· Good technical, product knowledge (engines).
· Solid computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
· Strong people and communication skills.
· Bilingual French/English.
