Job Purpose

This position requires the T-1A PSA Program Support Analyst to manage a product improvement program to ensure the safest, most reliable and economical operation of the T-1A COMBS and equipment end item. The Program Support Analyst will analyze and track equipment failures and identify the need for product improvement as well as assisting the Government in determining scheduled inspection and predictive maintenance requirements. The T-1A Program Support Analyst will perform under the direction of the T-1A Program Manager, L3 Technologies, Vertex Aerospace, Madison, Mississippi.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide technical review of technical data, service documentation, preliminary TCTOs, and preliminary changes to organizational manuals.

* Reviews updated vendor commercial maintenance manuals (paragraph 1.6.21) as they are updated and provide AFTO Form 22 (Technical Manual Change Recommendation) to the Government where information in the commercial manual impacts processes.

* Participates in validation/verification of TCTOs and changes to organizational-level manuals.

* Provides analysis of all maintenance difficulties and recommendations of changes to operation, maintenance, inspection and training requirements to improve the method of operation. And maintenance.

* Responsible for completing and submitting Government reports as required per the PWS.

* Responsible for collecting data and providing training on maintenance best practices.

* Responsible for providing on the job training to T-1A aircraft maintenance technicians as required.

* Provides data from IMDS to be used to assist in trend analysis when appropriate as well as providing other metrics as required.

* Responsible for assisting the Government with accident investigations, service reporting, and deficiency report investigations.

* Participates in test, functional check and operational flights of T-1A aircraft when authorized by the Functional Area Commander (FAC).

* Provides inputs to the USG as requested

* Reviews and updates corporate and program personnel as required.

Qualifications

Work Experience

* 10 years maintenance experience on small multi-engine jet aircraft with at least five years specifically on T-1A or Beechcraft 400A aircraft.

* A&P license.

* Must have demonstrated leadership, people management and development skills.

* Possess strong oral, written, and presentation communications style and skills.

* Possess strong customer relationship skills.

* Familiar with Process Based Management, business process development and continuous improvement methods.

* Must have prior technical management experience for military or DoD programs.

* Experience working with AETC customer is highly desirable.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a standard four year college or a minimum of 10 years maintenance experience on small multi-engine jet aircraft with at least five years specifically on T-1A or Beechcraft 400A aircraft.

Knowledge and skills

* Working knowledge of the interaction of maintenance and supply to include howmaintenance and supply issues affect mission capable (MC) rates, to include knowledge on performance metrics such as Non-Mission Capable Maintenance (NMCM), Non-Mission Capable Supply (NMCS) and Non-Mission Capable Both (NMCB).

* Possess Analytical capabilities such as, but not limited to, forecast issues/problems with maintenance capabilities and parts availability

* Experience with DOD customer base highly desirable. (Air Force)

* Experience in providing on-the-job training (OJT) in maintenance environment and other contracted FSRs.

* Possess knowledge of SAP.

* Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvements.

Position Competencies Required

* Preferred that the candidate possess certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)

* Proficient in MS Office suite to include MS Word, Power Point, Excel and MS Project.

* Must be able to obtain DoD Security Clearance
