This position will function as a Supply Chain Support Specialist performing the duties of a Supply Chain / Technical Representative on the C17 Aircraft Propulsion Sustainment team, supporting F117 engine depot maintenance. Position provides on-site company representation and technical support to the F117 engine Maintenance Contractor (Pratt & Whitney), the United States Air Force (USAF) customer and Boeing management. Utilize multi-disciplined Supply Chain and engine / engine component technical expertise, as well as contractual and company knowledge to assist the engine maintenance contractor (depot) to achieve and sustain a high level of maintenance quality in support of customer expectations and company performance metrics.
Oversee the processing and documentation of Boeing managed Quick Engine Change (QEC) kit and core engine repair items and warranties; working with F117 engine maintenance contractor and Boeing Repair of Repairables to facilitate component repair and replacement.
Monitor depot and customer orders and respond to issues by troubleshooting and problem solving to resolve discrepancies. Lead and monitor depot allocation and delivery schedules and projections.
Analyze and process high value material, determining serviceability where in question. Respond to high profile customer inquiries and oversee delivery problem resolution. Manage periodic data reporting requirements and respond to ad hoc requests.
Lead internal / external, depot / customer, interface with regular communication. Provide input to depot / customer presentations and program reviews and obtain feedback for improvement. Identify and resolve depot / customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies. Support internal and external working groups to discuss issues and problems. Provide depot representative coverage to other engine depots, as needed.
Actively participate in the standup of processes allowing the depot to comply with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance for all Boeing parts / components at the depot. Once established monitor and ensure FIAR compliance.
Work unsupervised for extended periods of time, in a wide variety of technical and maintenance shop environments. Develop excellent relationships across multiple organizations and companies, with all levels of personnel to ensure customer and company satisfaction. Collaborate with engineering, depot and / or customer to determine maintenance, repair / overhaul and / or corrective action to be performed. Use USG Technical Orders, drawings and QEC / engine technical expertise to determine component serviceability and to perform acceptance inspections / reviews on overhauled / repaired engines prior to transferring to the USAF.

Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with high bypass turbofan jet engines; maintenance, overhaul and / or experience with engine components, operation and failure modes
Experience utilizing the United States Government (USG) data base for material tracking, G081, and Air Force Technical Orders
one or more years of experience with USAF (United States Air Force) T.O.s (Technical Orders)
Knowledge of Boeing Company C-17 Spares and Supply Support process and procedures along with knowledge of USAF logistics support operations and systems is highly desired.
Working knowledge of AF material management systems (ES-S, D043, SBSS, G081, DTOS, Fed Log, Haystack, Discover)
Knowledge of / understanding of engineering drawings.
Capability and willingness to work remotely and independently at a sub-tier supplier, as the primary Boeing Company representative to both the supplier and the Air Force customer
